WVRA AGMs – Current & Previous

AGM 2019

We had a great program to highlight all our new community partners!

We didn’t have as many residents as we had hoped for this amazing presentation, sadly. However, those that did attend had an awesome preview of all the work that has been going on for the past few years to bring some new life to Weston Village!  And we thank those who did attend for taking time out of their busy schedules.

WVRA 2016 AGM a success!

The Weston Village Residents’ Association was honoured to welcome Toronto Star columnist Royson James as guest speaker at its 2016 AGM, held Monday, November 7th at Weston Memorial P.S.

An enthusiastic crowd of about 60 had an opportunity to chat with James and voice their concerns during an evening that included updates on the Union-Pearson Express, the Weston Park Baptist/Scotiabank Corner, St. John the Evangelist school, and from the Weston Historical Society. Councillor Frances Nunziata was also on hand to take questions and share upcoming community holiday events with residents, who enjoyed complimentary snacks sponsored by Squibb’s Stationers and delicious coffee from Perfect Blend on Weston Road.

The evening’s events also saw the retirement of Chair Dave McBride, Vice-Chair Laura Alderson and Communications Director Maurizio Dodaro from the association’s Executive, and the introduction of the new Executive: Chair Dave Bennett, Vice-Chair Bill Taylor, Vice-Chair Tom Costantino, Communications Director Suri Weinberg-Linsky, Treasurer Adrienne McKenzie and executive members Louisa Bada and Catherine Phillips.

Thank you to everyone who attended and we thank our retired Executives for their years of service.
